Role Description

The Lead Carpenter role is a full time, on-site position based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. This role is responsible for leading carpentry works on residential renovation projects, including planning and executing framing, structural work, and detailed finish carpentry. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting plans, measuring and cutting materials, installing cabinetry, doors, trims, and fittings, and ensuring all work complies with relevant building standards. The Lead Carpenter will supervise and mentor team members, coordinate with other trades, and help maintain a safe,



organized job site. The role also involves communicating with project managers and clients to support smooth project delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications
Strong carpentry skills, with experience in residential renovations and leading site-based work.
Proficient use of power tools for cutting, fastening, and assembly work.
Solid framing skills, including layout, structural installation, and repair.
Skilled with hand tools for precise measurement, cutting, fitting, and detailing.
Experience in finish carpentry, including cabinetry, doors, skirting, architraves, and other fine detail work.
Relevant trade qualification in carpentry and eligibility to work in Australia; QBCC-related experience is an advantage.
Solid understanding of building codes, site safety, and quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret plans, manage time effectively, and coordinate with other trades.
Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role on residential projects is preferred.
