The Role
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will take ownership of high-volume payroll operations across multiple entities. You will manage weekly and fortnightly pay cycles while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Processing multiple weekly and fortnightly payroll runs
Maintaining employee records, entitlements, allowances and deductions
Processing terminations, adjustments and payroll reconciliations
Ensuring accurate STP reporting and compliance with ATO requirements
Managing superannuation, PAYG and statutory obligations
Responding to payroll queries and providing expert support
Contributing to process improvements and payroll system optimisation
Skills & Experience
Significant experience in high-volume payroll environments
Proven experience processing large payrolls of 1000+ employees end-to-end
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
Ability to manage multiple concurrent payroll cycles
High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
Robust communication skills and ability to work autonomously
Highly Regarded:
Experience with Employment Hero, Xero, Astute Payroll, or similar large payroll/CRM systems
Experience working within outsourced or multi-entity payroll environments
Exposure to cloud-based payroll integrations
