We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our team. This is a pivotal role supporting our surgeons, patients, and broader practice team through a combination of clinical care, patient education, and administrative coordination.

In this diverse and hands‑on position, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality patient care across all stages of the surgical journey.

Key responsibilities
Coordinating theatre lists and managing surgeon schedules
Conducting patient clinical assessments (including pre-procedure screening)
Providing pre- and post-operative care and patient education
Supporting patients with procedure preparation
Managing patient enquiries and escalating clinical concerns as required
Liaising with hospitals, anaesthetists, and other healthcare providers
Assisting with emergency bookings and short-notice cases
Maintaining infection control standards and a clean clinical environment





Administrative Support
Managing appointments, patient bookings, and reminders
Processing billing, Medicare claims, and payments
Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
Supporting the practice team to ensure efficient daily operations

About You
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Previous experience in surgical, perioperative, or specialist practice nursing
Strong clinical skills, particularly in post-operative care and patient education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
Sound knowledge of Medicare and private health processes
Experience with clinical software systems
