Under guidance of a very experienced newly arrived Palliative Care consultant, we are making changes to service structure and staffing levels. The successful applicant will be a consultant in Palliative Care with a strong team approach who loves communication, interaction and who is striving for delivering excellent Palliative Care.
The Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. An exciting opportunity exists for Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist/Senior Medical Officer - Palliative Medicine
300 days of sunshine a year, minimal commute or traffic jams,
outdoor activities on your doorstep including camping, fishing, hiking, 4WD and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.
You will provide inpatient and outpatient specialist Palliative Care Services for the hospital, skilled leadership to medical staff within the service.
This team consists of 11 other Specialists (sub-specialists included). It is well supported by 16 Registrars/PHO, 8 RMOs and 9 interns. The Medicine Department at this hospital also provides services to the regional hospitals in the area.
Requirements
Fellowship of the Australian Chapter of Palliative Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
