About the role:
Kindergarten Inclusion Support offers assistance to kindergartens to support the inclusion of children with disabilities. The role of the Additional Assistant is to support Early Childhood Educators in providing an inclusive program for all children in kindergarten.
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day support of children to safely access and participate in the kindergarten program, including:
Assisting with everyday tasks for program delivery for all children
Assisting children with self-care tasks
Participate in staff planning meetings
Do you have
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and engage positively with teaching staff, families and children
The ability to work under direction and work as part of a team
Experience working with preschool children and/or disability sector an advantage
The ability to use initiative, are you reliable and willing to learn and develop in the role
