Schaper Concrete & Construction is a growing, family owned business that specialises in remote concrete, earthworks and road freight. We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head Mechanic/Workshop Manager to head up our team.

The successful applicant will be suitably qualified and experienced in managing a large and varied fleet of road freight vehicles and plant and equipment.

If you are passionate about quality workmanship, enjoy problem solving and you are keen to be part of growing and energetic team, then this position is for you. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, has excellent communication skills and is adaptable and versatile.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Maintenance of a large fleet of road trains, earth moving equipment and concreting equipment: diagnosis & repair, ordering parts,



coordinating servicing and maintenance schedules
Accurate record keeping, including compliance with safety standards.
Lead and manage a small team, training and supervision of apprentices and trainees
Managing road train drivers, providing operational support, scheduling servicing and repairs

Requirements:
Current and valid NT drivers license – HR
Heavy diesel mechanic qualification
Experience in working with road trains
