We are partnering with a well-established, globally recognised industrial supply business to find an experienced Business Development Manager for the Darwin region. This is an exciting prospect to join a company with a strong market presence across the electrical and industrial sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing
Drive sales and profitability targets in line with the company’s broader strategic objectives.
Represent the business professionally in the marketing and selling of nominated products, brands and services to new and existing customers within the Darwin region.
Identify, qualify and develop project sales opportunities from early concept through to completion, maximising the potential of the company’s brands, products and services.
Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies, identifying new products, solutions and supplier opportunities for clients.
Travel within the designated geographic territory to build and maintain key relationships.
Submit activity reports, sales plans and business proposals and assist in the generation of forecasts, budgets and business objectives in collaboration with the Area Sales Director.
Deliver skilled presentations using both existing and newly developed bespoke materials.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a business development or sales role within the electrical, industrial or related technical sectors.
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a portfolio of clients while winning new business.
Solid commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills - confident engaging at all levels from site to senior management.
Self-motivated and able to work independently across a regional territory.
Experience with sales pipeline management and reporting.
