Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
Review and validate timesheets, leave, overtime, allowances, and deductions
Calculate wages, PAYG, superannuation, and termination payments
Maintain employee payroll records, including current starters and terminations
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
Manage STP reporting and statutory obligations
Reconcile payroll, superannuation, and payroll tax accounts
Prepare month-end and year-end payroll reporting
Support audits and compliance activities
Respond to payroll queries and provide stakeholder support
Identify and implement payroll process improvements





The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be an experienced Payroll Officer with solid local end-to-end payroll experience.You will demonstrate:
Experience processing high-volume weekly payrolls
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and leave entitlements
Experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
Exposure to Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
Strong Excel and payroll systems experience
High attention to detail with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Experience with systems such as ADP, Chris21, Employment Hero, Kronos, MYOB, SAP, Workday, or similar will be highly regarded.
