About the Role
As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating an organisation's purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and effective acquisition of goods and services. The position reports to the Senior Procurement Officer & Deputy Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Finding synergies and standardising needs where possible to source widely.Preparing Tender invitations as per the Joint Venture process and launching tenders
Developing Tender analysis and negotiation strategy
Participating in technical and commercial interviews with short-listed vendors
Negotiating to obtain the best conditions and fit the budget.
Recommendation to the Production team and management
Preparing and reviewing contracts
Contract execution follow-up
Helping to prepare KPIs and updating the database
Organise local purchases for the project
Establishes all the documents necessary to ensure productive purchasing
Participates in consultation with suppliers.
Qualification & Experience
Degree in Management, Purchase, Procurement
Previous qualified experience in procurement
Excellent relationship skills
Methodical and meticulous with common sense
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to critique, recommend and implement initiatives that seek efficiencies either from a process or systems perspective
