O’sushi Coolangatta is a beachfront Japanese quick paced casual dining restaurant with a sushi train along with a la carte dining. We have an opportunity for a fulltime chef to join our team, someone who is creative, passionate, enjoys a fast paced kitchen with an eye for detail and a love of Japanese cuisine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Cooking and preparation of all menu items to O’sushi consistent high standard, recipe’s, presentation and quality
Maintaining portion control
Follow a high standard of food safety and hygiene procedures
Stock control to minimise waste
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and work station
Ordering stock
Creating specials and costing of these items

Ability to stay calm and keep high standards under pressure
Flexibility to work all days and hours of trade including weekends and public holidays
Passion for Japanese cuisine and delivering a premium product
Robust overall culinary experience including experience in making sushi and specialty sashimi skills
Experience in a fast paced, high volume kitchen

Pay: $77,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
