Role Description The Legal Receptionist is a part-time role, based in Newcastle, NSW. In this role, the Legal Receptionist will manage front desk operations, greet clients, and ensure a welcoming and skilled reception area. Day-to-day tasks include:
Reception and front-of-house duties.
Answering and directing telephone calls and responding to client enquiries.
Maintaining electronic and physical client files.
Managing solicitors/' calendars and scheduling appointments.
Preparing correspondence and legal documents.
Liaising with clients, courts,



barristers and other specialists.
General office administration and supporting the legal team as required.

Legal Receptionist will work closely with legal professionals to ensure effective office operations and a positive client experience.

Qualifications
This role would be suitable for first-year law students.
Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues.
Qualified Phone Etiquette skills, including managing high call volumes, directing calls appropriately, and taking accurate messages.
Organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Comfort with common office software (e.g., word processing, email, calendar systems) and basic data entry.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate discretion, and work effectively in a diverse, multicultural setting.
