Job Description
Overview
/n
As a Contract Officer you support the entire contract lifecycle from set‐up to close‐out, helping to manage a diverse array of suppliers.
/n
Responsibilities
/n
/n
Undertake market analysis.
/n
Participate in end‐to‐end procurement processes.
/n
Administer contracts, negotiate, establish, and manage them.
/n
Build productive and respectful relationships with suppliers.
/n
Establish, negotiate, and manage contracts within the department's framework.
/n
Maintain productive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across government.
/n
Provide advice on investment specifications, QA systems, and accountability.
/n
Monitor service delivery and ensure compliance with contracts, guidelines, and legislation.
/n
Conduct care service inspections including site inspections.
/n
Identify, monitor, and remediate supplier performance issues and raise them when necessary.
/n
Negotiate renewals, variations, and terminations of contracts.
/n
Collaborate with internal business areas to ensure value and quality of delivery.
/n
Prepare briefs, plans, quotes, correspondence, and reports in a timely manner.
/n
Commit to ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, continuous improvement, and skilled growth.
/n
Represent the department at forums with stakeholders and suppliers.
/n/n
Requirements
/n
/n
Possession or ability to obtain a Queensland Public Safety Blue Card.
/n
Travel is required, including to remote communities.
/n
Current "C" Class driver's licence.
/n
Formal procurement, purchasing or contract management accreditation (e.g., Queensland Purchasing, QGCPO, CIPS) is well regarded or ability to obtain it.
/n/n
