About the Role
This is a national role with real variety, autonomy and impact.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you'll lead national facilities compliance, preventative maintenance programs, contractor management and capital maintenance projects across our growing national portfolio.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring every Roomia site remains safe, compliant,



operationally efficient and professionally maintained, while helping build scalable systems and standards to support our continued growth.
This role suits someone who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with practical problem-solving.
One day you may be reviewing national compliance reporting or coordinating contractors across multiple states; the next, you may be onsite assessing maintenance works, supporting a Store Manager or assisting with the onboarding of a new facility.
You'll work closely with operations leadership and external contractors nationally, helping protect and improve the customer experience across every Roomia location.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Compliance
Oversee national compliance programs across fire services, essential safety measures, WHS and statutory maintenance requirements
Ensure all inspections, testing, certifications and compliance records are maintained accurately and completed on time.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs across the portfolio
Conduct regular site audits and compliance inspections nationally
Support store teams with escalation of complex maintenance or compliance matters
Contractor & Asset Management
Manage contractor relationships across fire, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, access control, lifts and general maintenance




Coordinate maintenance projects, refurbishments, rectification works and capital expenditure projects
Ensure contractor inductions, insurances, licences and safety requirements are maintained
Develop national standards for store presentation, safety and asset maintenance
Systems & Growth
Implement and improve systems for contractor management, compliance tracking and maintenance reporting
Assist with due diligence and onboarding for recent store developments and acquisitions
Support the continued scalability and operational consistency of the national portfolio
Help drive smarter processes and efficiencies across maintenance and compliance operations
Skills & Experience
Experience managing facilities, maintenance or compliance across multi-site operations
Strong understanding of Australian building compliance, fire services and WHS requirements
Experience coordinating contractors and service providers nationally
Strong organisational, reporting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working autonomously across multiple locations
Experience in self storage, retail, commercial property, hospitality or logistics environments is advantageous
Trade, facilities management or property-related qualifications are highly regarded

You're equally comfortable onsite, inspecting facilities, speaking with contractors, or reviewing national reporting and compliance schedules.
