About The Role
Here's a unique opportunity to shape Central Coburg.
Being part of a small and agile team, you'll identify and scope design and placemaking projects, coordinate across the organisation and work with partners to help bring to life the Central Coburg Framework and Development Standards.
This is a 12-month maternity leave position based at Coburg Civic Centre.
During this period,



you'll lead delivery of the Waterfield West Make Good Works project - including redesign of the existing car park to facilitate construction of the Library and Piazza - while coordinating integration across the broader Central Coburg project portfolio, acting as custodian of the Central Coburg Framework and Development Standards, and providing strategic design leadership for future stages of the Program.
During this 12-month period, the focus is on:
Lead delivery of the Waterfield West Make Good Works project, including redesign of the existing car park to facilitate construction of the Library and Piazza, while coordinating associated utilities upgrades and public realm improvements across the site and broader precinct
Coordinate integration across the Central Coburg project portfolio, working closely with the Library & Piazza project team and other delivery partners to ensure alignment between concurrent projects and proactively resolve risks, interfaces and delivery issues
Maintain and drive implementation of the Central Coburg Development Standards
Provide strategic design leadership for future stages of the Central Coburg Program
Manage procurement and coordination of technical expertise, engaging specialist consultants and internal subject matter experts across urban design, property, traffic, integrated water management, utilities and related disciplines
Identify and pursue funding opportunities for the Central Coburg Program, preparing grant applications
Prepare strategic advice and options for decision-makers on design, placemaking and development
Skills And Experience Require To Perform The Role
Design custodianship – ability to uphold and champion the implementation of the Central Coburg Precinct Framework and Development Standards, maintaining strategic intent across projects
Collaboration – strong capability to work effectively with multidisciplinary design teams across the organisation
Design problem-solving – demonstrated ability to analyse complex challenges and develop thoughtful, practical, and innovative design solutions
Project management – demonstrated capability to lead and deliver complex projects




Procurement and consultant management – experience in leading procurement processes and managing large, multidisciplinary consultant teams.
