We have new offices located in the heart of Perth's CBD on St Georges Terrace and on the waterfront in Bunbury.
The Role
We are currently seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years' post-admission experience to join the Commercial Litigation and Employment Team on a full time, permanent basis.
Prior experience in employment law will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
This role is based in our Perth CBD office.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive legal practice with a strong client base.
Your duties will initially include, but not be limited to:
Oversee litigation matters from initial instructions through to conclusion across a range of dispute types.
Prepare and review court documents, including pleadings, affidavits, witness statements, submissions, and legal correspondence.
Analyse legal issues, undertake detailed research, and provide strategic advice on disputes,
litigation risks, and procedural requirements.
Represent and advise clients in relation to employment disputes, regulatory matters, and other contentious legal issues.
Coordinate the management of evidence, discovery obligations, court filings, and briefing of counsel throughout the litigation process.
Participate in and support alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations, conciliations, and settlement discussions.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Admission to practice in Australia.
Between 3-5 years' post-admission experience in litigation.
Ability to manage multiple matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering practical legal advice.
Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills.
A specific interest in employment law.
