Analyst / Senior Analyst - Structured Finance:
Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst to join its Structured Finance team.
This role offers the opportunity to analyse complex financing structures, assess underlying collateral performance, and evaluate credit risk across a diverse range of structured credit and fixed income transactions.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced industry professionals, conducting fundamental credit analysis, monitoring transaction performance, and identifying key risk drivers across securitised assets.
This position is well suited to candidates with 3-5 years of experience in structured finance, securitisation, fixed income, credit research, or commercial/corporate credit analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse structured finance transactions across a range of asset classes, including asset-backed securities (ABS), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), and other securitised products.
Assess underlying collateral pools, transaction structures, cash flow performance, and credit enhancement mechanisms.
Evaluate credit risk and identify key strengths, weaknesses, and sensitivities within financing structures and underlying assets.
Review financial statements, servicer reports, transaction documentation, offering materials, and performance data.
Develop and maintain financial models and cash flow analyses to support credit assessments.
Prepare clear and concise written reports, credit opinions, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor existing transactions and portfolios, highlighting emerging risks and performance trends.
Engage with issuers, arrangers, investors, lenders, servicers, and other market participants to support ongoing analysis.




Maintain awareness of economic, regulatory, and market developments affecting structured finance and broader credit markets.
Contribute to sector research and market analysis initiatives as required.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of relevant experience within:
Structured Finance
Securitisation
Fixed Income Research
Credit Research
Corporate Credit Analysis
Commercial Banking Credit
Structured Credit
Debt Capital Markets
Strong understanding of credit fundamentals, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment.
Exposure to fixed income markets and structured finance products is highly regarded.
Financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex credit concepts clearly.
CFA, CA, CPA, FRM, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification will be viewed favourably.
