With a strong focus on safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement, we are seeking an experiencedTraining & Safety Co-ordinatorto join our team and play a pivotal role in developing our workforce and supporting a positive safety culture across our underground and open pit operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the WHS Manager, the Training & Safety Co-ordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating training, competency management, compliance and safety initiatives across the operation.
This hands on role requires a strong understanding of mining environments and the ability to work closely with operational leaders to ensure our workforce remains secure, competent and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and maintain site training and competency systems.
Facilitate site inductions and onboarding activities.
Ensure compliance with statutory training requirements and site procedures.
Maintain training records, matrices and competency documentation.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems and programs.
Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions and safety initiatives.
Conduct workplace inspections, audits and observations.
Work collaboratively with operational departments to identify training and development needs.
Promote and champion a positive safety culture across the workforce.
About You
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
Demonstrated experience working within mining operations.
Strong understanding of mining safety systems, training compliance and competency management.
Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training management systems.
Mandatory Qualifications
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
Current C Class Driver's Licence
