Over 50 million people use Speechify's text‐to‐speech products to turn whatever they're reading – PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, websites – into audio, so they can read faster, read more, and remember more.
Speechify's text‐to‐speech reading products include its iOS app, Android App, Mac App, Chrome Extension, and Web App.
Overview
With the growth of our iOS app, being the #18 productivity app in the App Store category and our recent recognition as Apple's **** Design Award for inclusivity, we need a Senior iOS Engineer to support the new user base and work on exciting projects to push the product forward.
This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys a fast‐paced workplace, is passionate about product decisions, and has experience building great user experiences that delight users.
What You'll Do
Lead key engineering and product decisions
Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app
Work within a dedicated product team
Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture
Ideal Candidate Should Have
Experience building products that scale to a large user base
Track record of working on products from inception to traction, responsible for engineering the product
Customer obsession: constantly focused on providing the best possible experience
Product thinking:



making thoughtful decisions and guiding internal teams and designers in the right direction
Speed: work quickly to generate ideas and decide what can ship now versus what needs time
Focus: thrive in a high‐growth, remote environment, knowing when to engage or work solo
Technical skills in Swift and SwiftUI
Technical Requirements
Swift Programming Language
SwiftUI experience
Multithreading programming experience
CI/CD infrastructure experience
Fastlane experience
Solid understanding of SOLID principles and ability to apply them
Git experience and understanding of different Git strategies
