Commercial Analytics Manager
Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
As a Commercial Analytics Manager you will translate complex data into actionable commercial insights, driving pricing, promotions, and media decisions through advanced analytics, and partnering with commercial stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
Partner with Commercial teams to create data‐driven narratives that support growth beyond the market.
Collaborate with Innovation to use forecasting and AI platforms to shape product pipelines and market strategies.
Support pricing, promotional, inventory, and trade investment decisions using post‐promotion ROI modeling and advanced AI tools.
Lead training sessions to boost organizational data literacy and drive analytics tool adoption.
Automate internal and external data flows (e.g., SAP, Circana, Google Cloud) to maintain a single source of truth and oversee the eCommerce database.
Manage the end‐to‐end data strategy budget, including PO management, vendor negotiations, and financial reporting.
Drive local application reviews (MFA/Protocols) and enterprise access governance for critical platforms such as Quantium and Blue Yonder.
Act as the lead architect for Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), overseeing simulations for media spend and long‐term investment strategy.
Lead the selection, contract negotiation, and implementation of advanced analytics vendors.
Synthesize technical outputs into executive‐ready narratives that guide category growth and customer strategy.
Qualifications & Mindset
7+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or consulting‐related roles.
Technical proficiency in Python, SQL, statistical methods, and data interpretation.
Solid stakeholder management, problem structuring, and communication skills, including presentations to senior audiences.
Commercial acumen with ability to identify business opportunities and collaborate with commercial stakeholders, ideally in FMCG/CGP sectors.
Experience or interest in applying AI/GenAI and automation to delivery.
At least 2 years of customer data management or processing, with knowledge of reporting tools and visualization platforms such as Tableau, DOMO, and Power BI.
