This is a rare opportunity to lead a $1 billion division comprising more than 5,000 employees delivering critical food, facilities management, maintenance, hospitality, security and support services across Defence, Healthcare, Education, Remote and Offshore sectors.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and serving as a member of the Australian Leadership Team, you will shape the future direction of some of Australia's most important service environments while influencing the broader strategy and growth agenda of Compass Group Australia.
The OpportunityThis role combines strategic leadership, commercial accountability and operational excellence at scale.
You will be responsible for:
Leading a complex national portfolio across Defence, Remote, Healthcare and Education sectors
Developing and executing growth strategies that drive sustainable revenue and profitability
Building enduring partnerships with major national clients and government stakeholders
Driving operational excellence, safety performance and customer experience outcomes
Leading large, geographically dispersed teams across Australia
Shaping organisational culture and developing the next generation of leaders
Influencing the future direction of Compass Group Australia through participation on the Australian Leadership Team
You will have accountability for:




Approximately AUD $1 billion in annual revenue
More than 5,000 employees nationally
Safety, operational, financial and people outcomes
Client retention and strategic growth initiatives
Development of scalable service delivery models
Governance, compliance and risk management across a complex portfolio
About YouYou are a commercially astute executive with a proven track record leading large-scale, multi-site operations in complex service environments.
You will bring:
Executive leadership experience within a large services, outsourcing, facilities management, infrastructure, resources, healthcare, defence or related organisation
Demonstrated success managing substantial P&L; responsibility
Robust experience building and leading high-performing executive teams
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and client relationship skills
A strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution
A passion for safety, people leadership and continuous improvement
The ability to balance commercial performance with operational excellence
Most importantly, you are an authentic leader who can inspire teams, build trust with clients and create sustainable long-term value for customers, employees and shareholders.
