The Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT) is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and customer-focusedTours Coordinatorto lead the coordination and delivery of our renowned Guided Cultural Walking Tours.
This is an exciting prospect to join one of Australia's leading First Peoples cultural organisations and play a key role in connecting thousands of visitors each year with the rich histories, cultures and continuing traditions of the First Peoples of south-eastern Australia.
Working closely with our Manager – Cultural Experiences and a team of experienced First Peoples Cultural Guides, you will coordinate bookings, manage tour operations, schedule guides, support marketing initiatives and help ensure every visitor enjoys an exceptional cultural experience.
About the role
The Tours Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of KHT's guided cultural walking tour program, including:
coordinating tour enquiries and bookings
scheduling and supporting a team of Cultural Guides
overseeing tour administration and Salesforce CRM
coordinating invoicing and financial administration
supporting recruitment, induction and ongoing guide development
contributing to tourism marketing and industry partnerships
identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and visitor experience.
This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent organisational skills, exceptional customer service and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
About you
You are someone who:
enjoys working with people and delivering exceptional customer experiences
is highly organised and thrives in a busy environment
has experience coordinating bookings, programs or events
can confidently manage competing priorities and deadlines
communicates professionally with clients, partners and colleagues
values teamwork, continuous improvement and cultural respect.
Experience working within tourism, cultural organisations, education, hospitality or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
