Role DescriptionThe Sales Manager is a full time, on-site role based at Poyser Motor Group in Bendigo, VIC.
This position oversees the daily operations of the sales department.
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving showroom traffic, leading customer appointments and negotiations, ensuring a high standard of product presentation, and maintaining accurate sales documentation and reporting.
Day-to-day tasks include developing sales strategies and campaigns, coordinating with Service and Parts teams to support a seamless customer experience,



and maintaining relationships with manufacturers and finance partners.
The role also involves analyzing market trends, managing stock and inventory levels, implementing sales processes and compliance standards, and fostering a culture of customer-centric service and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales management or a similar leadership role within a dealership environment.
Strong skills in team leadership, coaching, and performance management to guide and develop a sales team.
Demonstrated ability in customer relationship management, negotiation, and delivering high-quality customer service.
Competence in sales forecasting, reporting, and using dealership management or CRM systems.
Sound understanding of vehicle retail operations, finance and insurance processes, and dealership compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Relevant qualifications in business, sales, or a related field are advantageous; equivalent experience will be considered.
Availability to work on-site in Bendigo, VIC, including weekends and peak trading periods as required.
A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
