About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 to lead the Interventional Unit at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
The Interventional Unit provides specialised diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across a range of services, supporting patients requiring complex interventional care.
As the Nursing Unit Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and evidence-based care while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
Coordinate multidisciplinary services to support timely access to interventional procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
Provide clinical and operational leadership, including workforce planning, resource management and financial oversight.
Lead, coach and develop nursing staff through mentoring, education and performance management.
Drive quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, NSW Health policies and professional standards.
Build collaborative relationships with medical, nursing,



allied health and support services to ensure seamless patient care.
Support service development and innovation to meet the growing needs of the Interventional Unit.
About You
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
Extensive senior nursing leadership experience within an interventional, procedural, perioperative, critical care or acute clinical setting.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex clinical services and deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in workforce, resource and financial management within a busy healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, mentor and inspire teams.
A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and delivering outstanding patient care.
Current Class C Driver Licence with the ability and willingness to travel if required.
