About the role

As our Human Resources Advisor (internally known as People Experience Advisor), you'll be the person they turn to when it counts, this role has a focus on employee relations, workplace investigations, policy creation ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to our core values and people first approach.
What you'll be doing:
Partner closely with managers to provide best-practice guidance on employee relations, workplace concerns, performance management and everyday people support
Support complex or sensitive employee relations matters and workplace investigations in collaboration with the People Experience Manager
Assist with organisational change and restructure processes, including preparing consultation documentation, coaching managers and drafting employee communications
Maintain accurate and confidential records and correspondence across investigations, performance processes and formal People Experience matters
Build ongoing relationships with managers to stay across team priorities, people risks and emerging workplace issues
Empower managers to apply BGL's policies and processes consistently, fairly and with confidence
Work alongside the People Experience Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver People Experience initiatives and continuous improvements
Lead by example by embodying BGL's values and contributing to a warm, team-oriented team culture




Play an active role in reviewing, developing and implementing People Experience policies, processes and procedures
Stay ahead of the curve on employment legislation, employee relations trends and People Experience best practice
What we're looking for:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
At least 5 years' experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisor role with hands-on experience managing workplace investigations
Demonstrated employee relations experience including end to end performance management processes and Australian employment legislation, including working knowledge of WHS principles
Proven ability to conduct workplace investigations and manage disciplinary processes in line with procedural fairness
Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and Modern Award interpretation
A natural ability to build trust and guide managers through sensitive people matters with empathy, clarity and sound judgement
Experience contributing to People Experience projects or process improvements, with a practical and approachable style
Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities, managing multiple demands and maintaining meticulous attention to detail
Comfortable working independently on day-to-day matters while knowing when to seek guidance or elevate
Experience using HRIS platforms in particular HiBob will be viewed favourably.
