We are seeking a Fleet Mechanic/Drill Fitter to work on Underground Rigs in South Australia, as well as associated equipment and vehicles.
We are looking for candidates who are driven, with a strong commitment to Health & Safety and a strong team focus.
The successful candidate will work a 8:6 or 14:7 Fly-in / Fly-out roster, based at one of our client sites in South Australia.
Shifts are 12 hours, dayshift only.
Responsibilities
Maintenance and repairs to Boart Longyear's Underground "LM" & MDR range of Drill Rigs / Newlands Erebus Mobile Rigs, and associated equipment.
Maintenance and repairs of Heavy and Light Vehicles.
Completion of Preventative Maintenance tasks and records.
Maintaining adequate stock levels of spare parts.
Time and maintenance record keeping.
Work order creation.
Qualifications and Experience
Solid experience carrying out Drill and/or Vehicle Maintenance.
Knowledge and understanding of electronic control systems.
Qualifications in a related field, i.e., Diesel or Mechanical Fitter certification.
Experience maintaining and repairing light and heavy vehicles.
Basic understanding of electrical circuitry / PLC controls.
Fire-suppression qualification (advantageous but not essential).
SIBS training (advantageous but not essential).
Basic computing skills.
Current and valid Driver's License.
National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old), or willingness to obtain one.
Demonstrated personal commitment to safety.

Location: South Australia, at client site.
Fly-in / Fly-out roster: 8:6 or 14:7.
Shifts: 12 hours, dayshift only.
