Let's talk about the opportunity
The purpose of this role is to provide support services to Chief Commissioner and Commissioners, to facilitate effective compulsory examinations and public inquiries, as well as provide a range of general and legal administrative services within the Executive Support unit.
This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in administrative operations while developing an understanding of legal practices and processes, making it ideal for those seeking to build their legal career.
This is a temporary 12-month, full-time position and not part of a formal graduate program.
Current NSW Government employees interested in a secondment opportunity are encouraged to apply.
The annual salary ranges from $95,000 to $105,331 with an allowance of $8,025, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).
Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:
Currently studying for a legal qualification and/or paralegal experience with a general understanding of legal terminology and processes.
Experience providing research,



administration and record keeping services within a legal setting, including use of office applications and technical systems.
Demonstrated ability to analyse legal content, and write clearly and succinctly with demonstrated attention to accuracy and detail.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible, and to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, and to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, occupations and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.
