About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team.
Working closely with leaders and operational teams across the business, you will partner with stakeholders to deliver practical people solutions that drive performance, engagement and organisational capability.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will provide both strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring our people practices align with business objectives and support sustainable growth.
This role offers the opportunity to influence people outcomes, support leaders through complex workforce matters and contribute to the ongoing development of our people and culture initiatives.
You will act as a trusted advisor, helping leaders build high-performing teams while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.
Provide practical, commercially focused HR advice and solutions.
Support workforce planning, talent management and succession planning initiatives.
Contribute to organisational development and change management projects.
Build strong relationships with leaders and managers across the business.
Employee & Industrial Relations
Provide guidance on employee relations matters including performance management, grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
Interpret and advise on employment legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and company policies.
Support leaders in managing complex people matters while ensuring compliance and best practice.
Coach managers to build capability and confidence in people leadership.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Partner with hiring managers to deliver effective recruitment and selection processes.
Support attraction, onboarding and retention strategies.
Assist in developing talent pipelines to support current and future workforce requirements.
Drive positive candidate and employee experiences throughout the employment lifecycle.
Leadership & Capability Development
Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen people management capability.
Support performance review and development processes.
Provide guidance on employee engagement, recognition and development initiatives.
Contribute to the identification and development of high-potential talent.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and programs.
Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes and reporting.
Monitor industry trends and recommend initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness and employee experience.
About You
You are a relationship-focused HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to solve business challenges and drive positive people outcomes.
You will bring:
Experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
Previous experience supporting blue-collar workforces within mining, civil construction, transport, manufacturing, infrastructure, resources or other industrial environments.
Solid generalist HR experience across the employee lifecycle.
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations practices.
Experience managing employee relations matters and providing trusted advice to leaders.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative approach.
Experience within construction, mining, resources, infrastructure or other operational environments will be highly regarded.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
Current Driver's Licence.
National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
