We're looking for an experiencedOperations Coordinatorto join a well-established and supportive operations team, managing import and export shipments from start to finish.
This is a hands on role suited to someone with a background in freight forwarding or logistics who enjoys taking ownership, working with precision, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with the chance to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery
Liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment execution
Ensuring compliance with Australian Customs regulations and internal Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
Organising transport and monitoring shipments to meet customer service standards and KPIs
Maintaining accurate shipment records, tracking information and system updates




Processing invoicing within required timeframes
Reviewing shipment files to ensure accurate costing and profitability
Proactively communicating with customers regarding shipment updates, delays or changes
Completing company collections using a company vehicle
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics (essential)
Cargo wise experience
A solid understanding of export operations and documentation
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and freight management systems
The ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, customer-focused approach with excellent problem‐solving skills
A current Australian Driver's Licence
Dangerous Goods knowledge (advantageous)
