About the Position
The Management Accountant is responsible for the development of University budgets and business partnering with the leadership teams to achieve financial objectives.
The role will drive financial performance management by data-driven reporting beyond financials, and the use of business analytics to produce targeted business information to help influence the leadership team and improve financial outcomes.
The position will provide management accounting services including but not limited to, financial advice, performance and feasibility analysis, business modelling, product costing, systems development, and acquittals.
As a senior finance role, the position requires strong strategic thinking and ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
This is a backfill contract only until July ****.
About You
Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent accounting qualification
Proven experience in management accountant roles in large and complex organizations.
Extensive experience in budget development, financial reporting and demonstrated ability to communicate financial information and engage with clients in an operational context.
Extensive experience in the development of data-driven financial reports with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skill level proficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, robust interpersonal skills, self-motivated with strong performance orientation.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative, creativity and innovation in work practices and the ability to work with others in a team environment.
Understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and the Australian Taxation System.
Knowledge and/or experience in the operations of a Higher Education or TAFE institution, particularly in management accounting and financial performance.




Experience in the use of OneEducation Financials.
Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 9.
The base salary will be in the range of $126,028 - $133,103 per annum.
The total remuneration package will be in the range of $147,452 - $155,730 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
