Position Overview
HSQC Group is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing Wagga Wagga office.
This is a senior-level opportunity for a confident, technically robust professional with experience in Australian public practice, specialising in company and individual tax

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of company and individual clients, ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation while delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services.
You will play a key leadership role within the office and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and review of company,
trust, partnership, and individual tax returns
Preparation and review of financial statements
Tax planning and advisory services for SME clients
Managing ATO correspondence and client queries
Overseeing workflow and mentoring junior team members
Reviewing work completed by intermediate and junior accountants
Ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation and standards
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Assisting leadership with complex tax matters and business advisory projects
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 5+ years' experience in Australian public practice
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation law and compliance requirements
Experience managing both company and individual tax matters
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor a small team
High-level attention to detail and strong technical capability
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Proficient in Xero, MYOB and other accounting software
CPA or CA qualification (or near completion) highly regarded
