About the Company
Power and Water Corporationprovides essential electricity and water services across the Northern Territory, with a strong commitment to supporting the renewable energy transition.
Distributing electricity to over 244,000 people, and providing safe drinking water and wastewater services, PWC plays an essential role in the Territory community.
The organisation is entering a significant period of transformation, with NTESMO set to assume a lead role in electricity system control, market operations, and centralised planning.
This shift marks an significant step toward delivering a modern, reliable, and future‐ready electricity network for all Territorians.
The Role
Reporting to the Power and Water Board Chair, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work closely with the Board and the Executive Leadership Team in leading and progressing the organisation's strategic imperatives, operating model and drive for cultural transformation.
As CEO, you will set the organisation's long‐term direction, ensure alignment with shareholder expectations, and drive performance across all aspects of the business.
You will steward a complex, asset‐intensive organisation, with a significant capital program, including major infrastructure investments central to the delivery of essential services in the Northern Territory.
Supporting the implementation of government policy objectives, you will help to create positive engagement with Government, customers and broader community stakeholders.
The role is based in Darwin and cannot be performed remotely from an interstate location.
About You
You are an accomplished CEO or executive leader with significant experience operating in complex, asset intensive environments, ideally within the energy, utilities, infrastructure or related sectors.




You bring a strong understanding of the commercial, regulatory and stakeholder dynamics that shape essential service delivery and have a demonstrated ability to focus large organisations on the customer.
Recognised for your inclusive and authentic leadership style, you have a proven track record of building high performing executive teams, fostering constructive workplace cultures and successfully leading a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.
You excel at balancing customer, stakeholder, regulatory and community expectations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, operational performance and financial sustainability.
Your ability to influence senior decision makers, provide trusted advice to boards and government, and build enduring relationships with regulators, unions, customers and industry stakeholders enables you to deliver sustainable outcomes for both the organisation and all Territorians.
A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant discipline or an MBA is desirable.
