This is a newly created temporary position responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational build and oversight of NSW Electoral Commission workplaces, facilities management activities, and ensuring compliance with sites relevant industry legislation, work health and safety, fire safety regulations and building codes.
You will lead a team, manage stakeholder relationships, oversee site set up and facilities operations, providing coordination and expert advice to support effective, safe and sustainable workplace environments across the NSW Electoral Commission.
Job Status:This role is Temporary Full-time position until 30 June ****.
Salary:$149,739 - $173,174 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading
This role is based at our Elizabeth Street office and requires regular attendance across multiple sites including Clyde.
The successful candidate will be required to work onsite five days per week and must be able to travel between office locations as required.
Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements
As the successful candidate, you will have:
Degree in Construction Project Management, Engineering or Architecture and/or relevant industry experience.
Ideal certifications would include Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or active memberships with the FMA.
Proven track record of managing and overseeing the fit out of sites and facilities in the lead up to and during operational occupancy.
Solid understanding of Australian building regulations, National Construction Code, WHS legislation,



site safety best practices, and emergency response procedures.
Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability in managing priorities within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
Political neutrality with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/third party campaigners
