HunterNet Career Connections in partnership with Australian Industrial Plasticsare seeking a proactive and motivated individual to start immediately in Sandgate as a Trainee Plastic Fabricator.
Australian Industrial Plasticsare a market leader, with the capacity to deliver various projects for a range of sectors including, but not limited to water, agriculture, construction, defence, energy, environment, industry, infrastructure, manufacturing, and mining.
We are looking for a hardworking individual with a strong work ethic who is interested in completing aCertificate in Engineering.
The successful applicant will complete this traineeship over 12 months while gaining on-the-job experience with an industry-leading company.
As a Trainee your main duties will include:
PE, PP & PVC pipe fabrication and installation within the workshop and worksite environments
Use butt, electrofusion and extrusion welding equipment alone with general hand tools
Understand and interpret isometric drawings
Complete all on and off the job training requirements
Attend TAFE and maintain a high standard of work
Willingness to travel occasionally
What we're looking for:
Exceptional commitment to workplace safety
Robust interpersonal and communication skills
Sound level of organisational/planning ability
Ability to problem solve and work to deadlines
High attention to detail
Experience in plastic welding/installation
Relevant certificates in poly welding and extrusion welding of thermoplastics
White Card, Forklift licence, EWP, Excavator and Dogging ticket
