The Opportunity
KBR is seeking an experiencedProject Managerto lead a significant capability transition program involving the retirement of legacy capability and the introduction of new capability within a complex Defence stakeholder environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading project planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
Working across multiple organisations, you will coordinate project schedules, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate governance forums, and provide high-quality reporting to support informed decision‐making.

Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate project activities to support the successful transition from legacy capability to new capability.
Develop, maintain and execute project plans to achieve agreed objectives and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, dependencies and milestones, providing governance oversight and performance reporting.
Manage project risks, issues and opportunities, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are implemented.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement across Defence, industry partners and internal project teams.
Facilitate project meetings, workshops and governance forums to support effective decision‐making.
Prepare project reports, executive briefings and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Support project budgeting, resource planning and funding coordination activities.
Lead a small project team and foster a collaborative, solutions‐focused culture.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery outcomes.
As the ideal candidate you will bring
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
Strong project governance, planning, scheduling and reporting experience.
Proven experience managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills within complex environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of executive reports and briefings.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes within scope, schedule and budget.
Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent) is highly regarded.
Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship required to be eligible.
