We're growing our Water team in Melbourne and are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects and building our mechanical capability.
This is more than a delivery role — it's an opportunity to:

You'll be joining a team with a strong pipeline across water, energy, and major infrastructure sectors, with exciting bids and projects already in motion.
Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life':
Lead the mechanical design and delivery of water infrastructure projects
Provide technical oversight across pumps, valves, pipelines and treatment assets
Support projects across the full lifecycle — from concept design through to detailed design and Design & Construct delivery
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
Work closely with clients, building strong and trusted relationships
Contribute to bids, proposals and business development
Collaborate across interstate teams (VIC, SA, QLD, WA)
to deliver integrated solutions
Drive technical excellence and continuously improve delivery standards
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone ready to step into a true lead role - combining technical expertise with leadership.
You'll bring:
8+ years' experience in mechanical engineering
Strong background in water infrastructure
Pumps, valves and mechanical systems
Treatment and supply infrastructure
Experience in a consulting or project delivery environment
Proven ability to lead or mentor engineers
Experience working on multidisciplinary projects
Registrations & Experience
Chartered Engineer (CPEng) / RPEV
RPEQ highly regarded
Established client networks or industry relationships beneficial
