The Role
Covetrus is a global animal‐health technology and services leader dedicated to empowering veterinary practice partners. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional to join our APAC finance team as Financial Planning & Analysis Manager based out of our Erskine Park office in Sydney. Reporting directly into the Senior Director Finance, APAC (Brisbane based), this is a key commercial role that partners with our business leaders in the region to help deliver financial goals, achieve KPIs and support transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Support a growing and diverse range of business lines across the APAC region and act as a key finance business partner to our Technology Solutions business.
Lead and develop a diverse team of Financial Analysts to ensure development goals are in place and high‐quality work is produced.
Uplift a business partner model to improve visibility and drive business performance and strategic goals.
Lead the uplift of Power BI capability across Finance and the wider business, driving the adoption of data visualisation, self‐service reporting, and actionable insights to support strategic decision‐making.
Own the end‐to‐end budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with commercial leads, analyse variances, identify risks and opportunities, and provide commentary.
Provide internal business reporting including P&L;, Balance Sheet and Working Capital analysis, pricing, and sales and margin analysis.
About You
A relevant degree in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications and demonstrated experience working within a diverse, international environment.
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team of finance professionals.
Demonstrated experience developing and embedding Power BI solutions that transform financial reporting, increase automation,
and elevate data and analytical capability across Finance and business teams.
Analytical and financial modelling experience with specific exposure to an inventory‐based environment.
Well‐developed influencing skills and the ability to hold robust discussions with senior management.
A resilient attitude and the ability to prioritise conflicting schedules using commercial and business acumen.
Strong stakeholder‐management skills and the ability to translate financial information to a non‐financial audience in a meaningful way.
Advanced skills in Power BI and MS Excel including the ability to build and interpret financial models.
