We are looking for an experienced
Estimator
to join our residential building team. This is an important role within our pre-construction department, responsible for preparing accurate estimates, coordinating projects through the pre-construction process, and working closely with Sales, Drafting, Construction, suppliers and clients to ensure projects are ready for construction.

About the Role
As our Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates from initial sales pricing through to final contract costings. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure every project is accurately costed, compliant, and progresses efficiently through the pre-construction process.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate sales estimates and final contract costings.
Complete Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity take-offs.
Maintain standard pricing, options, base prices, and estimating data within Databuild.
Review completed estimates to ensure accuracy before contracts are prepared.
Prepare site costings, provisional sums, and client variations.
Analyse engineering, energy and technical reports to ensure all project requirements are accurately costed.
Ensure estimates align with plans, specifications and standard inclusions.
Assist the Sales team with non-standard pricing and technical advice.
Liaise with clients to finalise site-specific requirements, service connections,



planning approvals and council requirements.
Work closely with Drafting to finalise plans before contract preparation.
Prepare contract pricing and supporting documentation.
Liaise with engineers, surveyors, suppliers and trades to obtain accurate pricing and technical information.
Assist with upgrade pricing and product selections where required.
Maintain supplier and trade pricing agreements.
Assist in developing pricing for new home designs, standard inclusions and display homes.
Contribute to improving estimating processes and maintaining accurate pricing information.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in residential estimating or a similar pre-construction role.
Sound knowledge of residential construction methods, plans and specifications.
Experience using Databuild or similar estimating software.
Strong understanding of BOQs, site costs, contract pricing and variations.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
A proactive and team-focused approach.
