Key Responsibilities
Lead a strategically significant operation at the forefront of Alcoa's growth and innovation.
Build and inspire a high‐performing team, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
Drive production, safety, quality and financial outcomes within a technically complex processing setting.
Influence operational strategy, performance and decision‐making as the business evolves.
Partner closely with technical, engineering and maintenance teams to optimise reliability, performance and long‐term value.
Contribute to the development of a new capability within Alcoa's global portfolio.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
Strong process operations knowledge, ideally gained in hydrometallurgical, refining, precious metals, chemical processing or related industries.
Extensive leadership experience within smaller‐scale processing,
chemical manufacturing or metallurgical operations, including the commissioning, start‐up, ramp‐up of such operations.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across operations, engineering, maintenance and technical functions.
Proven capability building high‐performing teams, developing leaders and championing a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.

Location
Located at our Wagerup Refinery this role will require occasional travel and attendance in Perth to support collaboration with the project team, particularly in the initial stages of the project.
