About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Echocardiography) based in Adelaide to deliver high‐quality diagnostic services and exemplary patient care. You will work closely with cardiologists and other cardiac professionals, providing transthoracic, stress, transoesophageal, and congenital heart disease echocardiography, and support our growing structural heart program.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outpatient and inpatient transthoracic echocardiography.
Perform exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography.
Assist with transoesophageal echocardiography.
Administer adult congenital heart disease echocardiography clinic (weekly).
Support the structural heart program, including TAVI, PFO/ASD closure, LAA closure, and Mitral Clip procedures.
Operate ultrasound equipment, obtain optimal images, and support diagnoses.
Interpret and process patient requests, ensuring accurate identification and history review.
Document patient conditions and deliver high‐quality care and customer service.
Build relationships with referrers and patients, explaining procedures clearly.
Collaborate with cardiologists and staff to maintain quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Ultrasound.




Current registration with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
Demonstrated clinical expertise in echocardiography.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient‐focused approach.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and follow direction when required.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Current Australian Driver Licence.
