The Opportunities
Due to continued growth within our
Stackwell division
, we are seeking both a:
Workshop Supervisor
Welder
to join our manufacturing team at our Lonsdale facility.
These positions will support the manufacture of
Stackwell Systems
products range and work closely with our production and operations teams to ensure quality products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time. This role does not involve any work on structural steel which is manufactured at our second facility based in Mount Gambier.
Workshop Supervisor
The Workshop Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating workshop activities while actively working alongside the team.
You will work closely with our operations team to ensure manufacturing schedules are achieved, quality standards are maintained, and customers receive their products on time.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the workshop team in day-to-day operations
Coordinate production activities with the office team
Participate in daily production planning and communication with operations
Monitor manufacturing progress and provide updates on schedules
Ensure products meet quality requirements and specifications
Plan workflow efficiently to maximise productivity
Monitor stock levels and workshop resources
Foster a safe, positive, and productive workshop culture
Lead from the front by actively participating in fabrication and welding activities
Welder
The Welder role is a hands-on fabrication position working as part of our workshop team manufacturing
Stackwell Systems
product range.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding and fabrication activities
Read and interpret workshop drawings
Manufacture components to required specifications
Conduct quality checks on completed work
Maintain a clean and secure work environment
Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve production targets
What We're Looking For
Workshop Supervisor
Previous workshop or manufacturing supervisory experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to plan and coordinate workflow effectively
Ability to read technical drawings
Welding and fabrication experience
Basic computer skills
Strong problem‐solving ability and attention to detail
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Welder
Welding and fabrication experience
Ability to read workshop drawings
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable for Both Roles
Forklift licence
Experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience working with structural steel products
