This is a unique opportunity to join one of Australia's leading universities in a highly visible enterprise-wide FP&A; role.
Rather than partnering with a single business unit, this position sits at the centre of the University's financial planning function, ensuring financial plans from across the organisation align with the University's strategic objectives, long-term financial sustainability, and executive decision-making.
Reporting into the Head of FP&A;, you'll work closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders across the University, challenging assumptions, consolidating financial plans, identifying enterprise-wide risks and opportunities, and providing insights that influence strategic investment decisions.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys operating at a strategic level, connecting the dots across a large and complex organisation, and influencing outcomes through high-quality financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the University's enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
Consolidate financial plans from multiple business units, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial objectives.
Partner with Finance Business Partners to challenge assumptions and improve the quality of financial forecasts.
Deliver insightful analysis, executive reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.
Identify organisation-wide risks, trends and opportunities to support strategic decision making.
Drive continuous improvement across FP&A; processes, planning frameworks and financial modelling.
About You & What You'll Bring:
Significant experience within FP&A;, commercial finance or strategic finance.
Experience leading enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting within a large, complex organisation.
Robust financial modelling and analytical capability.
The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
A commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial information into strategic insights.
Experience within higher education, government or another large matrix organisation will be highly regarded.
