The Opportunity:
This is a wide-ranging, autonomous and client-focused role that will see you working across a broad range of workplaces throughout Far North Queensland.
You may come from an electrical background and be looking to transition into safety, or you may already be working in WHS and seeking a role that offers greater variety, autonomy and professional development.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will:
Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
Support clients with WHS compliance and legislative requirements
Develop safety management systems, procedures and documentation
Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
Deliver practical, site-based safety advice and solutions
Facilitate or assist with workplace training and competency development
Build trusted relationships with clients across a wide range of industries
Travel to client sites throughout the region while maintaining a strong Cairns base
This is a role for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and helping businesses create safer workplaces.
Your Skills & Experience:
We're interested in speaking with candidates who can bring a combination of technical knowledge, practical experience and strong communication skills.
Ideally, you will have:
An electrical trade background, Electrical Engineering qualification or significant electrical industry experience
Experience working within safety, compliance, risk, auditing or operational environments
The ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, from frontline teams through to senior management
Strong report writing and documentation skills
A practical, solutions-focused approach
A willingness to continue learning and undertaking further professional development
Qualifications in WHS, auditing or training and assessment are advantageous, however Safetylec is committed to supporting ongoing learning and development for the right person.
