The Role
As Cyber Defence Practice Lead, you will be responsible for driving the evolution of cyber defence capabilities across the business, ensuring services remain relevant, differentiated and aligned to changing market demands.
Working closely with clients, technology partners and internal stakeholders, you'll help define future service offerings, support strategic growth opportunities and contribute to the ongoing success of a leading cyber practice.
This role combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen and deep cyber security expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Strategy
Contribute to the growth and evolution of Cyber Defence and Security Operations capabilities.
Identify emerging market trends and opportunities across cyber security, AI and automation.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across cyber service offerings.
Help define strategic roadmaps and future capability development.
Client Engagement & Growth
Partner with enterprise clients to understand business and cyber security challenges.
Support strategic pursuits, proposals and solution development activities.




Engage senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on cyber defence strategies.
Help shape complex engagements and large-scale cyber transformation initiatives.
Cyber Security Expertise
Provide thought leadership across Security Operations, Threat Detection, Incident Response, and Managed Security Services.
Advise on modern cyber defence operating models and emerging technologies.
Support the adoption of automation and AI-driven security capabilities.
Maintain awareness of evolving threats, industry trends and regulatory requirements.
Build strong relationships across business, technology and delivery teams.
Mentor and support cyber security professionals across the practice.
Foster a collaborative, innovative and client-focused culture.
Work closely with alliance and technology partners to deliver value for clients.
About You
You are a commercially minded cyber security leader with a passion for helping organisations improve their security posture and embrace the future of cyber operations.
Experience Required
Extensive experience within Cyber Security, Security Operations or Cyber Defence environments.
Strong understanding of modern Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities and cyber defence strategies.
Experience working within consulting, managed services, professional services or enterprise environments.
Ability to engage confidently with senior business and technology stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting business growth initiatives.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Highly Regarded
Experience leading cyber security teams, practices or service lines.
Exposure to managed security services and large-scale security operations.
Knowledge of AI, automation and emerging technologies within cybersecurity.
Experience developing go-to-market strategies, service offerings or capability roadmaps.
Relevant industry certifications and leadership experience.
