FP&A; Analyst | NSW Government | 12-Month Contract
$120,000 - $150,000 + Super
I'm currently working with a NSW Government department to recruit two FP&A; Analysts for 12-month fixed-term contracts, with a strong possibility of transitioning into permanent positions.
These roles are ideal for finance professionals who enjoy the technical side of FP&A.; The focus will be on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting, supporting the organisation through planning and performance cycles. There is less emphasis on business partnering, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with financial data and providing meaningful insights.
The environment is large and complex, with several manual processes still in place. They're looking for hands-on individuals who are comfortable rolling up their sleeves, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping drive efficiencies over time.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities
Prepare month-end reporting and variance analysis
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making
Develop financial models and reporting packs
Support planning cycles and ad hoc financial analysis
Identify and implement process improvements where possible
About you:
Previous experience in FP&A;, Management Accounting or Financial Analysis
Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience
Comfortable working within large, complex organisations
Advanced Excel skills and solid analytical capability
Experience within Government, Higher Education, Healthcare or other large organisations will be highly regarded
