About The Role
The Manager, Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition plays a pivotal role in reshaping and uplifting the capability of the Department's workforce through the delivery of strategic workforce and recruitment initiatives, talent acquisition strategies and providing advice on how to mitigate emerging workforce risks and challenges.
This role will be accountable for providing a range of programs and services to support career advancement and mobility of departmental staff in line with the department's strategic needs, while supporting the operations of the workforce management governance committees. This position also leads the provision of advice to the health sector on CEO and subordinate CEO remuneration, consistent with the Health Executive Employment and Remuneration (HEER) policy. The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven track record in running operational talent and mobility functions, designing and implementing successful workforce management strategies, understanding and translating contemporary human resource practices, and the ability to foster collaboration across the department.

About You
A tertiary qualification in human resources or other relevant field and/or significant experience in leading an operations function,



and/or developing and implementing employment-related strategies preferably within a government environment is desirable.
A continuous improvement qualification (or similar) is desirable, but not essential.
