What's the role?
You'll join a high-performing Institutional Rates Sales team within Financial Markets, working with some of Australia's largest and most sophisticated institutional investors.
Based in Sydney, this permanent role sits at the heart of client engagement, market insights and trade execution.
Working closely with Trading, Strategy, Syndicate and Relationship Management teams, you'll help clients navigate changing market conditions by delivering timely market intelligence, investment ideas and rates solutions.
You'll build trusted relationships with institutional clients including asset managers, banks, pension funds and government organisations, while supporting the execution of a broad range of fixed income and rates products.
This is an prospect to combine your commercial mindset, market knowledge and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, strong client outcomes and disciplined risk management are highly valued.
You'll play a key role in connecting clients to opportunities and helping deliver exceptional market solutions across the rates landscape.
What do I need?
Strong knowledge of rates markets, including government bonds, interest rate derivatives.
Experience in related structured rates products would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience working in institutional financial markets, with exposure to sales, trading, debt capital markets, syndication,



treasury or investment management environments.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships, understand client objectives and identify opportunities that create value for institutional clients.
Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage clients and work closely with Trading, Strategy and Relationship Management teams.
High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on risk and compliance.
Current AFMA accreditation is required for this role.
