Construction Planner (Construction & Infrastructure)-Perth CBD | Full-time
Successful Projects is seeking a motivated and capableConstruction Plannerto join our expert, and growing, Planning Division.
Our planners work across incredible Construction, Mining, Defence and Infrastructure projects, helping clients understand how projects will be delivered, where risks exist and what decisions are required to achieve successful outcomes.
This role is suited to planning professionals who have progressed beyond supporting programme development and are ready to take ownership of programme outputs, develop construction methodologies, explain sequencing and impacts, and operate independently across a range of concurrent projects.
As a Construction Planner, you will build technical expertise, strengthen professional judgement and develop the capability required for future progression into Senior Planner, Lead Planner and Principal Planner roles.
About the Role
Successful Projects specialises in planning and scheduling across many projects.
Our planners typically work for multiple clients and projects, rather than being assigned to a single project.
This provides exposure to different delivery models, procurement approaches, construction methodologies and project environments.
As a Construction Planner, you will:
Produce and manage programme outputs independently across project phases.
Develop construction methodologies and basis of schedule documentation.
Build and maintain tender programmes, construction programmes, design programmes and client-side deliverables.
Apply sequencing, logic, durations and dependencies aligned to construction methodology and project requirements.
Review programme updates, identify risks and explain delivery implications.
Participate in client meetings, programme reviews and planning workshops.
Monitor progress and maintain accurate programme information.
Prepare clear, structured and client-ready reports, summaries and programme narratives.




Contribute lessons learned, knowledge capture and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You are naturally curious, analytical and interested in how projects are planned and delivered.
You enjoy solving problems, understanding how things are constructed and helping project teams make informed decisions.
You are comfortable taking ownership of your work and can explain technical information clearly to others.
You will be able to demonstrate:
Experience developing and maintaining project programmes.
Understanding of construction sequencing and delivery methodology.
Ability to develop programme logic, dependencies and critical path analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving capability.
Ability to work across multiple projects and competing priorities.
A proactive and accountable approach to delivery.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
Typically 2–5 years' experience in planning, project controls, project management, construction or a related discipline.
Experience producing and managing programme outputs independently.
Experience working within project delivery or construction environments.
Desirable Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP), AIPM CPPM (Certified Practising Project Manager) or equivalent.
Experience supporting Defence, Infrastructure, Mining or major capital projects.
Exposure to Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.




Membership of a relevant skilled association.
