At McLean Farms, we are looking for a motivated and people-focused Human Resource Assistant to join our People & Culture team.

About The Role
As a Human Resource Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture function.
You will be involved in a broad range of HR activities, providing hands‐on support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll administration, employee engagement, and HR projects.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, enjoys variety in their day, and is passionate about building a long‐term career within Human Resources.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting end-to-end recruitment activities,



including advertising, screening of resumes and candidate communication.
Managing the end-to-end onboarding process.
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
Providing day-to-day administrative support to the People & Culture team
Assisting with employee engagement initiatives.
Supporting HR projects, policy updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assisting with payroll processing and wage compliance checks.
Supporting award interpretation and ensuring compliance with National Employment Standards and Fair Work Acts.
Building positive working relationships with employees and leaders across the business
About You
You are organised, proactive, and enjoy working with people.
You have a strong attention to detail, can manage competing priorities, and are eager to continue developing your HR knowledge and capability.
To Be Successful, You Will Ideally Have
Minimum 2 years' experience within a Human Resources
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A skilled and confidential approach when handling sensitive information
Strong administration and computer skills
The ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (advantageous)
