The College of Sport, Health and Engineering offers a variety of courses ranging from undergraduate degrees through to doctoral studies. The College operates mainly within the Footscray Park Campus.

About the Role:
The Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology role encompasses both teaching and research. The role will comprise of teaching, unit convening and curriculum development in our accredited psychology programs, including the development and implementation of innovative teaching methods which align with contemporary practice. The ability to carry out research with impact and to supervise student theses at the 4th year, Masters and PhD levels is also a feature.
Position Key Duties:




Contribute to the student experience and discipline leadership in programs as required including course convening, unit convening and industry relationships
Develop and implement high quality and creative teaching materials and practices
Conduct research in accordance with VU Research expectations including peer reviewed publications, grant funding and supervision of student theses
Participate in professional development activities and undertake scholarly review of teaching methods and practices

Classification & Salary: Level C $138,695 - $159,922 + 17% employer superannuation

About You:
You will be expected to hold a PhD in Psychology with current AHPRA registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology
You will have demonstrated professional experience in the practice of Clinical Psychology
You will have experience in higher education teaching and curriculum design in psychology
You will be passionate about training mental health professionals and developing the evidence base for psychology through research.
