WHS & RTW Coordinator
About the Role
Due to an internal development opportunity, our Townsville Plant is currently recruiting a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator to join the team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the WHS & RTW Coordinator will work closely with the management team and play a vital role in the successful operation of the processing plant, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace while supporting the effective management of workplace injuries and facilitating employees' safe and timely return to work.
About You
Demonstrated experience in WHS and Injury Management (IMC)
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher)
Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification (or equivalent)
Fire Safety Advisor training (or willingness to obtain)
Strong working knowledge of the WHS Act ****, relevant regulations, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards
Sound understanding of Queensland workplace rehabilitation legislation
Experience within a large, self-insured organisation (advantageous)
Well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
